Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays were sales days in which we carried out sales calling, prospecting and other projects within designated region based teams.
Wednesday and Thursday were analytics days in which we had senior speaker talks and educational training on the terminal and asset-classes

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

We were given lots of responsibility throughout the internship including exposure to client-facing interactions, a unique opportunity. As well as that we really were able to tangibly contribute to the teams we were in, assisting full-time employees in their work.

We were given two mentors in both departments who provided really strong support throughout. As well as this, our aligned managers also gave us constructive feedback and guidance.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture is super friendly and open, everyone is exceptionally happy to help with any questions you have and this really allows you to learn a lot from colleagues around you. The office has a really buzzy and positive atmosphere and it really welcomes you in

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed the internship! It kept me busy throughout but also balanced it with really nice social opportunities and chances to get involved with philanthropic initiatives.
