Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Creating design and development content for internal and external projects. Work includes graphic design, website and deck creation, 3D rendering and animation, video editing and more.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I had the opportunity to work on real business critical projects during my time at SAP, allowing me to experience first hand what the real working world is like with securing a deal in a software company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I've developed my Adobe creative skills immensely during my day to day creative work (Photoshop, after effects, premiere pro and more), alongside developing 3D skills with blender, cinema 4D etc.
My communication and teamwork skills have improved greatly alongside my confidence, which will carry over perfectly into my final university year and future career.

My team were very helpful and always there when I had a question or needed guidance, however, I did feel I needed to make alot of proactive choices to get involved, which can be a positive also.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

It was the best decision I made for my career. Not only have I greatly expanded my creative competence and skills, my confidence and ability to work in a real world environment have grown massively. I am very grateful I've had this opportunity and I wouldn't want it any other way.
