Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I am under the business unit of Strategic Infrastructures, which involves in early planning of transmission infrastructure. My main task is to review the power system model.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, even tough what I have done is not crucial work. But the work I have done will be shared among the team and will be used by them to work on future projects.

Everyone in National Grid are very welcoming and patient. I felt included at all times and enjoyed my time in National Grid.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone is very patient and welcoming. They are willing to teach you whenever you need it. They are also very flexible on working hours as long as you are able to deliver.
