Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Exposure into social, content and digital marketing. Responsible for uploading all new content onto the website, controlled the UK SAP Concur social media channels. I also created images used in Ads using photoshop. Analysed the performance of our content using Tableau, Adobe Analytics.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
During my internship I was surprised at how much responsibility I was given - all my work throughout the year has been very meaningful and impactful for the team. I was never given any stereotypical ‘intern’ roles and really felt an important part of the team.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
My confidence since starting the placement has grown massively. I have experience in presenting and communicating with a variety of people at different levels in the company. I now have experience in so many tools which will be essential for my future career: Salesforce, Photoshop, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Marketo, Excel, PowerPoint

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I had 2 line managers as well as a team manager who have been exceptional during my time at SAP. My managers would be in contact with me everyday, I would have 1-1 meetings with them once a week to discuss how my work is going and decide what work is next for me to be involved in. I also had a buddy who I could talk to whenever I needed about work unrelated topics.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was amazing. SAP does not believe in a hierarchy and everyone is treated the same. Every person you come across is so supportive and friendly.

I highly recommend everyone applying to SAP no matter what role you are interested in. SAP respect individuality and are massively invested in your personal development.
