Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

On a day-to-day basis, we had multiple events, talks and socials planned to get to know more about the firm and network with other Vac Schemers, Partners, Associates and Trainees. On the work front, depending on your seat, you can expect anything from a simple proof-reading task to a complex high-stakes task as the firm believes in investing in you and making you a leader.

How would you rate the structure of the insight

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was an extremely insightful experience. I got first-hand exposure to the firm’s work and culture. Moreover, I got to understand how the business operates - i.e. essentially the commercial aspect of the law/ particular transaction - which was very fascinating for me.

I think this scheme has definitely improved my networking skills and research skills, especially when such research is needed in a short span of time.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

People are so, so sweet there. The firm has an open door policy which means that you can reach out to anyone for a coffee, to seek guidance or just share experiences!
