Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I have been involved with projects that were ongoing within the company, as well as I was given a big project for the summer. I have been given weekly responsibilities, updating data and supporting month end processes. Meeting with different teams every day to make sure I am developing and growing as a professional.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I believe I have, given my own project made me responsibility for my project management skills such as time management, gathering information, or self development. Furthermore, helping with month end reporting which were then presented to the wider team gave me the chance to use my attention to detail and analysis skills.

Definitely, I have definitely developed my time management and analysis skills. I have learnt new skills such as Powerbi and Power Query skills which was the basis of my main project.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have received lots of help from my manager, my team and also the company - including access to LinkedIn Learning. Daily meeting with my manager helped me in my day to day tasks as well as my project but also other team members made sure that they are always available when help is needed.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Culture was brilliant, especially in my team. They made me feel welcomed from the first day, included me in general conversations as well as daily walks around the office after lunch. The general atmosphere in the office was vibrant and lively.
