Sustainability intern Review

Working with different members of the team completing tasks which change on a daily basis. Shadowing meetings, audits and site visits with building managers. Helping with taking meeting minutes, reviewing spreadsheets and anything else that would be interesting/important to complete.

Yes, from the first day I was able to take part in team meetings, site visits and complete interesting and important work. This made me feel valued and helped me to feel more confident and able to ask for more as the weeks went on. During the weeks I gave presentations and always felt like I could input new ideas and takes on different pieces of work.

Learnt a number of new skills for example developing my knowledge of excel, working with new clients and developing communication skills through multiple networking opportunities. Has been an interesting opportunity where I feel as though my teamwork and people's skills have grown stronger as well as my numerical and analytical skills.

Had a great deal of support and guidance throughout my team with Savills. Had constant contact with my mentors and director which made me feel at ease and feel as though I could bring to light any issues if there were any/ ask for more work etc.

Thoroughly enjoyed working with my team they were always so friendly and supportive whether that was having lunch together or friendly chats before meetings. I was also able to build connections with the other interns who were awesome. Overall lovely atmosphere and really feel like it is somewhere where I would be able to thrive in the future.

Really loved it, feel like it has gone too fast! Could do another 4 weeks. Am so grateful for the opportunity, all the people I have met and the great work I have been able to get involved with.
