Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Over the last month, I have been in the Intern for the West End Office agency team. Due to the nature of the job my day-to-day activity is never the same. I often find myself on viewings for various office buildings or find myself developing spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentation's for buildings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes - i was given plenty of responsibility throughout. I was tasked with creating key documents for clients and other members of the team. However, i would have loved the opportunity to have even more responsibility and pushed myself even more.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt a large amount of new skills. These range from learning how to use a variety of different property specific software's like Costar, Athena and Agent Society. I have also developed my Excel and PowerPoint skills from being here.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was given plenty of support. I was left to do my own tasks completely. However, as soon as i had a query a member of my team would help me instantly as best they could.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

For my team, the atmosphere was unbelievable. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and kind to me throughout.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I cannot fault it. The scheme was put on perfectly with a great balance of HR organized activities and enough time to get stuck into my own teams work.
