Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am responsible for all risk assessments and care planning for new clients using our service.
I carry out reviews of care and do auditing of internal paperwork - daily notes, medication MARs
I have a lot of responsibility as the care plans that I provide ensure that a person's care is person centred and meets their everyday care needs.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

A lot of the programme that I am doing is around my everyday working so has been enjoyable to develop my skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have been able to develop my existing skills and have also learnt new skills around the job that I do.
I have been able to learn more about different health conditions and legislations to ensure that I meet client's care needs to the highest specifications.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At the beginning it was not very structured and I did not get on with the tutor.
After discussions with the company and a change of tutor my course is now very well structured and my tutor is very organised.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get 100% support from my employer. When I need additional time for my studies this has been given with no quibbles.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutor is excellent. If I am unsure about anything I can contact him and he will fully support me.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification is part of my work and supports me 100% to perform better. My skills are developing daily and is ensuring that I am doing my job to the best of my ability.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Extra-curricular activites could be networking events. External courses meeting other professionals working in the same line of work.
