Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work in the Retirement sector where I work in a group of people who are in various stages of their career. I do client work (e.g. calculations, updating information, using WTW software) as well as training to understand the theory behind the work.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given a lot of responsibility, but also a lot of help. All work is checked over, and everyone is always happy to help. I feel like I am doing important work as I know it impacts others.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a lot of my mathematical skills through the training. I have also learnt many Excel skills (shortcuts, tools to utilise). Another development has been my time management skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is very friendly - there are many socials outside of work, as well as opportunities to hang out during work. This is because we have weekly competitions and everyone joins in.
