Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
There is a lot of training involved in the first few weeks of the internship. The training is very well structured and essential to be able to get involved in client work. There is a number of spreadsheet calculations done on a daily basis along with preparations of presentations, billings, etc
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I am made to do real client work that will be sent off. The workplace is very understanding to the fact that I am new but also give me a lot of their time and put in a lot of effort to help me understand things so I will have the capability to do work. Apart from that, I am given responsibility to organise things like a newsletter, socials, charity events etc.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, I've definitely improved my communication skills and time management. As there are a variety of tasks, meetings, and training sessions on a daily basis, my ability to be organised and manage my time has gotten a lot better. My knowledge on pensions has also vastly increased. Who knew there was so much to pensions!

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
A great deal of support was given to me during this internship. I was paired up with a graduate 'buddy' who was in the same boat as me not to long ago who I could go to for any question that I had. Everyone in the workplace is very welcoming to any questions you might have for them.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
It's a very friendly and relaxed environment. Everyone in the workplace gets on with each other really well and work together on a lot of projects. I certainly enjoy coming into the office everyday. There are also a lot of socials and events that are very enjoyable.

What advice would you give to others applying to WTW
I'd say ask as many questions as you can and make the most of the 8 weeks that you are here. try to talk to and get to know as many people as you can.
