Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
During the beginning of the internship we spend some time training, learning more context to the calculations we need to do as well as gaining a deeper understanding on pensions in general. We have designated sessions as well as time to practice questions to test understanding. Alongside this we also get the opportunity to do different client work to gain an insight of what work we would do in the future.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
We have been given lots of opportunity to do client work, therefore get a fair bit of responsibility.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Most of the work is done through excel, so I have had a lot of opportunity to be able to develop my excel skills and different techniques to make things simpler. I have learnt how regulations for pensions has changed and how this affects how much money people get.
