checking emails, calculating transfer values for members, updating parameters based on monthly market conditions, investigating new business opportunities etc

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, we had opportunities to get involved in client work from the very first week of the internship and we were encouraged to ask for more client work throughout the internship

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

The support during the internship was excellent. We had a formal training programme, with webinars, self-study, even in-person training. Each intern had a buddy who was always happy to help and my line manager was also very supportive and provided lots of guidance. When being given work to do, the colleague would explain what needs to be done, provide instructions and answer any questions that come up when doing the task

I enjoyed my placement a lot. I gained lots of technical knowledge, as well as softer skills. I got to get involved in client work and felt like a part of the team
