Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I supported the team in all sorts of daily tasks. This included preparing pitch decks, research and quarterly reporting in the form of Excel. I was also assigned projects from the wider teams to support them with additional work that needed completing.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a considerable amount of responsibility which made everyday a bigger challenge as there was more pressure to perform the work to a high standard.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a huge amount of skills throughout my six weeks, the main one being excel. Previous to the internship my excel skills were minimal, however, due to having to use it everyday to carry out a multitude of tasks I learnt a very large amount in a small amount of time, all of which I will carry forward with me.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Everything about the culture at Savills was exceptional. I was encouraged from the beginning to reach out to whoever I wanted to and ask to meet with them. It is a very inclusive culture where everybody supports everybody.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
My time at Savills has been an amazing experience, I have learnt an abundance useful and practical skills that I can carry forward with me into my professional career, all whilst meeting some amazing people along the way.

If you are successful in getting an interview then research absolutely everything, knowledge is extremely valuable. Alongside knowledge be personable and friendly, Savills has a very relationship focussed culture, people only want to work with you if they get on with you.
