Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My day-to-day role typically involved being introduced to current projects, undertaking research on subject properties, searching for comparable evidence using recommended software, editing and composing reports for clients on valuations, calculating valuations using Argus Developer.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given lots of responsibility on projects, even undertaking a valuation on a building development from start to finish by myself for a client.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learnt how to use new software for comparable evidence and calculating valuations such as CoStar, Argus developer.
My communication and social skills have been massively developed and exposed to new, professional environments, helping me to develop my networking skills.

There was plenty of support available and guidance for any questions, especially around further information for the graduate schemes.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture and atmosphere was very positive. The team were very welcoming and supportive. The wider company culture was also very inclusive with everyone introducing themselves and offering support.
