Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
As a summer scheme student I was responsible for supporting the corporate finance team (where I was allocated) as well as wider OCM teams in preparing materials for current projects, consolidating relevant information on assets/comparables, proofreading documents before presentation, etc
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I wouldn't say I was given much responsibility, but enough for an intern position, and definitely enough to keep my busy and learning new skills

Developed skills in financial modelling, preparation of investment/finance memorandums, data analysis. Also developed some soft skills like presentation and public speaking, teamwork and communication

A lot! The internship is well-structured and has dedicated events and teams to seek support from. My team was extremely friendly and I was always briefed on tasks I was given

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very good, everybody around me was friendly and supportive. The team took time to get to know me and ensure I'm doing meaningful work (including the senior team members). Overall, the culture seems to be a big strength of the company
