Summer Scheme Student Review

My main roles were to support the team with general day-to-day tasks with research on areas such as tenant covenant strength, current disposals and finding potential new occupiers. Other roles included updating disposal information and creating brochures.
I assisted colleagues on viewing and client meetings. I was also lucky enough to have some of my own projects, such as writing customer experience documents and drafting parts of a major pitch.

Yes - prime examples of this were writing documents, reports or market analysis that went straight out to clients.

I have significantly developed my understanding and analysis of market dynamics, which I see as a key transferable skill—most markets operate on similar underlying principles, so this will be valuable across different sectors.
I’ve also improved my research skills, having had the opportunity to conduct in-depth research on major projects and occupier trends. My report writing have also progressed, through writing reports on target areas for occupiers as well as analyses of current market trends,

I received a great deal of support from both the Graduate Recruitment team and the team I was placed with. The Graduate team were always available to offer help and guidance, and it was fantastic to see how actively involved they were throughout the six-week internship.
My sitting team were equally supportive, everyone was approachable, happy to answer questions, and genuinely invested in my learning. I couldn’t fault the support I received from either group and it made a real difference to the overall experience.

The culture and overall atmosphere were what truly made this internship such an incredible experience. Everyone across the business, not just the Graduate Recruitment team or my sitting team was approachable, welcoming, and always happy to answer questions. It’s clear that the positive culture is what makes Savills such an outstanding place to work.

Thoroughly enjoyed my six weeks at Savills. The experiences and opportunities I was given were, in my view, unmatched by any other internship in the sector. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return as a graduate.
