Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
In this role the every day tasks could vary. There are days when I am out onto different estates for site visits for differing reasons whether that be for forestry purposes, residential purposes or client faces issues. Other days it could involve being in the office and responding to emails, writing reports and attending meetings in person and online.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given responsibility surrounding the management of my schedule and deadlines of written work. I was given different work projects to complete that would be needed for clients.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt many new skills such as the professionalism of email format, interacting with clients. Understanding wants and needs from clients. Learning the details of important legislation and documents for estates. Learning about forestry and surveying trees. Alongside the residential properties on estates.

Throughout this internship I was supported every step of the way with the team being so inviting and helpful. This helped build my confidence to ask any questions and learn more about the work of colleagues.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very interactive and very open to speaking to me about anything I had questions on. I helped myself to develop the confidence in the team meetings and be more involved.

The advice I would give in to be inquisitive and be open to learning the information at hand. Be interactive with the staff to get to know more about their jobs. Learn to take in advice from others and apply it into your learning.
