Summer Scheme Student Review

My days primarily revolved around off-site building launches in the morning, followed by preparing reports and managing availability/competition schedules. My day also involved in property viewings, guided tours, and finishings meetings throughout the day. The day-to-day tasks varied significantly from week to week, ensuring that no two weeks were ever the same. This dynamic environment made the internship both engaging and enjoyable.

Yes, I was given a significant level of responsibility during my internship. From the start, I was trusted with day-to-day tasks that directly supported the team’s reporting processes. These were not just basic intern duties—they mirrored the responsibilities handled by both the apprentice and graduate team members. Being thrown in at the deep end challenged me to quickly learn and adapt, which ultimately helped me grow in confidence and capability within a professional setting.

during my internship I developed several key skills. I strengthened my communication skills through regular interactions with clients, contractors, and team members. I also became more adaptable, as the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of the work required me to quickly adjust to new tasks and priorities. Additionally, I enhanced my problem-solving abilities by addressing unexpected challenges on-site, and improved my time management skills while balancing multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

The team were extremely supportive and vey much helped me during the internship.

The company culture was welcoming, supportive, and highly collaborative. From day one, I felt included as part of the team, with colleagues always willing to offer guidance and share their knowledge. The atmosphere was fast-paced yet friendly, encouraging open communication and continuous learning.

I very much enjoyed the internship and thought it was by far a great experience.
