Drafting contracts and quarterly reports, corresponding with contractors with building/maintenance projects, market research for valuations
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, soon after starting, I was given an appropriate level of independence and responsibility - which allowed me to learn through doing rather than just listening.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
All practical knowledge is new and learnt. Existing transferable skills such as time management, team work, work ethic, have all been improved by seeing colleagues work and being personally incentivised to do so by my enjoyment of the work.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very welcoming. As Salisbury is a small office, the team dynamic was very familial. This not only made me feel comfortable in the new environment, but also made me confident to ask colleagues for work, to expand the breadth of my experience
