Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
6 week rotation, 2 weeks in Development, Valuations and Property Management respectively. Helped out however possible with whatever tasks the team had on at the time. Where possible, we joined on property inspections which provided important hands-on experience.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Given a higher than expected responsibility, as I was trusted to undertake short and long(er) term tasks that allowed me to balance my time, and ensured a varied workload each day. I was contributing to active, ongoing tasks so felt my work was worthwhile.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Improved understanding of working with and between teams, particularly how valuation and development work together. Have learnt the ways in which commercial valuations are undertaken and the relevant software used across all three teams. Have strongly improved my understanding of how the APC training process works.

Lots of support from the grads and more senior employees who were very happy to answer all questions

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Friendly, inclusive culture meaning it felt very easy to slot into each team. Quite a social atmosphere so was easy to get to know various team members.

Really enjoyable, rewarding experience that has developed my knowledge of the industry but also my understanding of workplace dynamics and social life.
