Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role is as a surveyor, acting on behalf of and servicing my managers clients. I negotiate rent reviews and lease renewals as well as marketing freehold and leasehold interests in retail shops, predominately acting on behalf of the landlord.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was surprised by how much responsibility I have been given which I believe to be a key factor behind the development I have had.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed a lot of skills I have learned in my previous jobs and internships as well as applying my university studies to a real life situation. I am much more confident when interacting with senior professionals in the industry and can effectively engage with clients.

I have daily support and feedback from my managers as well as a great team of HR who have all sorts of resources to help my progression, as well as an APC counsellor an supervisor which have been really useful.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was amazing. Being surrounded by market leaders inspires me daily and I have been fortunate enough to be on a floor with various transactional teams that I could see myself in.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
There couldn't have been much more done to improve the experience I had. It has been amazing.
One thing may have been to have more socials between my placement cohort but with the amount of work that I have had on, they may have hindered my progress with that.
