Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My day to day role in commercial property management is assisting the surveyors with their tasks anything from lease reviewing, chasing arrears helping to set budgets or reconciling the service charge often communicating with the site teams regarding utilities and tenant matters.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given a large amount of responsibility during my placement which has really made me learn quickly but I have also always had the support and help when needed.

I have learned many invaluable skills throughout my placement at Savills. this includes communication, professionalism and depth of knowledge in the property industry that you cant gain without practical experience.

I had plenty of support throughout my placement from my line manager and especially the wider team always willing to answer queries and help out. supporting teams and HR are also always willing to help where they can.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Great company atmosphere with great social events. nice to be able to socialise with similar aged colleagues throughout the week a and even after work.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Overall Savills has been a great place to have my university placement with all the help and career support you could ask for. I enjoyed meeting new colleagues and building relationships with stakeholders in the business. I have also enjoyed how the job is not the same everyday and I have been constantly learning new things and developing new skills that will help me in my future career and in my final year of university.
