Owning and delivering the projects defined by the team. The projects may vary from more to less technical, and from those that require cross team interaction to those which do not. Obtaining business knowledge about Amazon. Supporting the team's day-to-day tasks upon request
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, i was given a lot of responsibility, but most crucially - a lot of independence. The work load was just enough, and the responsibilities were critical for the team, so my work actually was making difference

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Yes, i have expanded my SQL, VBA, Dashboard building skills when it comes to technical ones. As for soft skills i have improved my time management, cross team collaboration, and project management skills

My manager, my mentor, and my team all were very supportive and ready to answer any question i had. I was never alone in my work, if i had any blocker or doubt , i new i could always reach out to my team

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere in the team, office and the organization overall is very comfortable and open. There is no pressure regarding how you look, there is always flexibility when it comes to leaving coming to the office if you need to

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed my internship to the great extend. My team was the main reason i decided to stay at Amazon after my internship ended. The internship gave me a lot of learning opportunity, also helped me build a lot of valuable connections

What advice would you give to others applying to Amazon
Once you are in Amazon don't be afraid to ask as much questions as you can to your colleagues, managers, whatever level they are, they will always be eager to help. Also feel free to incorporate AI, LLM tools in your daily work, it is encouraged if it can make your work more effecient
