Operations Intern Review

As an Operations Intern at Amazon, I worked on a project while undergoing training in delivery station operations. My day-to-day activities included observing and supporting last-mile logistics processes, coaching and monitoring associates, and participating in team operations. I also attended meetings with managers, HR, and associates, which gave me insight into workforce management and station performance. This experience helped me understand the end-to-end flow of operations and the importance of leadership in daily execution.

While I appreciated the opportunity to observe and learn, I felt that the internship could have provided more structured training and greater responsibilities. Gaining more hands-on involvement in key operational tasks would have enhanced the learning experience and allowed interns to contribute more meaningfully to the team.

During my internship, I improved my Python skills and learned to work with tools like VS Code and Tampermonkey. I also developed my communication and leadership skills by regularly interacting with associates and briefing the team on daily operational plans. This experience enhanced both my technical abilities and confidence in collaborating with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

I received good support and guidance throughout my internship, with supervisors and team members available to answer questions and provide feedback when needed. This helped me navigate tasks and develop my skills effectively.
