Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as a Regional Operations Manager is to support a team of 5 Operations Manager and their wider team of Area Support Managers, Group Managers, Group Chefs, Executive Chefs and Catering Teams in providing an excellent catering experience within education catering for Primary and Secondary Schools.

My trainer [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is very supportive and at first i felt very overwhelmed in how to start learning and studying again since leaving school over 30 years ago, the online teach sessions provide the knowledge i feel i require to develop my career, with all of the different learners from all different companies provide a wider knowledge, conversations, way of thinking to support the training session, upon writing my assignments i know feel very confident and the support and knowledge that i learn blows me away when i read my assignments out loud.

I have learnt how to study and complete my very busy role as a Regional Operations Manager, my apprenticeship is giving me additional skills to develop my role with various topics that support my development within my career with Aspens, it also develops my knowledge through online training modules and assignments

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive the support needed for my apprenticeship, i have weekly calls with my manager who checks in on how i am doing and also the feedback calls with my trainer.
I also have a work colleague as a mentor and many colleagues who are also completing the course for us to bounce off each other

I feel through the different ways of working, different modules this helps support and develop my role to the next chapter

We hold sessions associated with our company at our head office so we can network with our colleagues and guest speakers from the Managing Director, Divisional Managing Directors so far has provided wider knowledge of our companies visions and values for the now and future have been very rewarding
