Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an apprentice bathroom installer I carry out a variety of tasks which vary from day to day. Some of these tasks include demolition, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, tiling and more. Since we are always working in a variety of different bathrooms, no job feels like the last and they never get repetitive. An average day to day basis could involve any of the skills I mentioned previously as well as some others like painting, cleaning up, preparing surfaces for tiling, and also manual handling.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Adroit, they have made me feel part of the team and I am very grateful for them.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since working for Adroit Services for over 8 months now, I have learnt a variety of valuable skills as well as improved my own skills. Throughout my time with Adroit so far, I have obtained useful understandings of many skills such as tiling, electrical, decorating, plumbing and carpentry. I am also learning I am also learning a variety of topics through the property maintenance process at College too to further develop my skills and shape my future at Adroit.

All the jobs I have been on have been organised accordingly beforehand, and I am made aware of where I will be working a couple days prior to starting the job.

Adroit have been very helpful making sure I am progressing towards becoming a fully qualified bathroom Installer in the future.

They are very helpful by assuring I am progressing by taking on new tasks and continuing to face new challenges.

There are plentiful of activities and events that Adroit take part in such as some work related catch ups, meetings, professional events, as well as social events that anyone is allowed to be involved in.

Why?
Since I think not only are Adroit a great company to work for in terms of being super helpful and supportive, but also since I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Adroit Services?
My advice would be to make sure you have a drivers license since so you can adequately get to work, and also it would be beneficial if you come from a background working in the trades industry.
