Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
We cover many trades including tiling, plastering, decorating, electrical, flooring and plumbing. We install bathrooms for customers to a very high standard.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Personally I think this is the best job I have ever had, adroit services are brilliant and the block release at college is so much better compared to a day release.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Before joining, I was an electrician. I had no knowledge of any other trades, after only a couple of months I can now get hands on with plumbing, tiling and heating works and much more!

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Everything with adroit services is organised in a professional manner, we as apprentices are given our own paperwork on top of college work which is a huge help as it helps us, our mentors and the management see what we have achieved since joining and what we have yet to achieve.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Adroit services are not just there to be an employer. They are their to help with any issues you have and help with things inside and outside of work if you wish with their employee assistance programme.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
college are brilliant, they get straight to the point and help with anything you may need. They help understand not just how to do the work but why we do the work too which is a massive bonus for most people.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The things we learn at college help us in our own roles, especially myself as an installer as we cover most of the trades we are taught.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Since I have been there, I have attended a factory tour and the bucks skills show event. The company try to attend at least one event a year which really brings the team together!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Adroit Services to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Adroit services are well prepared for a small business and treat their employees like family, they care for you as a person and not just what you can do for the company. Everyone here is a great help and they like to make sure you learn so you can be the best installer possible.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Adroit Services?
You need to be confident for this role as it requires being in people’s houses and talking to customers and colleagues. However, this company is sure to build your confidence as it has with mine. Everyone is friendly here and follows the rules, that’s what makes this company great.
