As Vice Principal at Norwich School of Hair and Beauty (NSHB), I play a key role in driving strategic and operational improvements across the school. I oversee curriculum development, maintain quality assurance processes, and implement initiatives to standardise teaching and learning across departments. I support team development through tailored CPD opportunities and competency frameworks, ensuring tutors and assistants are equipped to deliver high-quality education. I also focus on enhancing student engagement and well-being. Additionally, I lead change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency and align departmental goals with the school’s mission.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Leadership and Management programme, as it has provided me with valuable insights and practical strategies that I have been able to apply directly in my role as Vice Principal at NSHB. Additionally, I have refined my coaching and mentoring skills, empowering the team to develop professionally through competency-based frameworks and tailored CPD opportunities. My role has further developed my quality assurance expertise, ensuring consistency across departments, and enhanced my ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement. I have received a high level of support from my employer, NSHB, throughout my Leadership and Management programme. My manager, Sam, has been particularly supportive, offering encouragement and guidance as I have balanced my academic commitments with my professional responsibilities. Sam has not only provided me with the flexibility needed to manage my coursework effectively but has also been a source of motivation. Additionally, the organisation has facilitated opportunities for me to implement new strategies and frameworks learned during the programme, allowing me to apply theory to practice. This ongoing support has been instrumental in helping me successfully progress through the course while enhancing my impact within the school.
