Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Telephony role (inbound and outbound), calling and taking calls from customers. Also, additional roles such as ; C.I Rep, Birmingham Apprentice Lead, and etc. Mainly clerical work with data, stats and comms. Work within team-environments and also individual work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I do enjoy my programme overall. I always advocate for development and I like the overall development of skills. I do, however, struggle in keeping engaged with the programme sometimes as it can be quite generic (not tailored to my specific role) and/or repetitive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt and developed many new skills (especially through it being my first job). Communication skills via telephony, organisational skills (collating data for Excel, Word). Working within teams for personal and peer development. Timing and workflow skills in managing work and additional tasks (like an apprenticeship).

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is very well structured. It is set in a 'modular' format with regular interjections of personal development and/or external resource tasks. Each week has courses that become available and the overall process is quite routine.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From my employer, I have been nothing but supported on my apprenticeship journey. From my line manager, to their managers, to the 'Apprentice overseers', they are all available and supportive of my apprenticeship as well as provided the time/resource for me to take part.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
In terms of the provider, I have been both very supported, and then also left in the dark. When support is available / my coach is helping me, they are very helpful and communicative for my progression. However, their has been a long period of absence in any communication.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
So far, my work on my apprenticeship has really helped me to test and improve my time-management skills within my role. It has also helped to develop and reflect on my skills within customer service such as customer handling, service culture and etc.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, I always try and apply to everything that can be development or interesting. I am currently taking part in; C.I rep, Birmingham Apprentice Lead, Civil Service Live, Civil Service Sports and etc...
