Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
My Apprentice role has changed since I started but I had started with paying invoices for the business and now do daily cashflow for the business as an accounting technician rather than a payments officer using more of my learning in my new role and expanding on what I already know
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
Not very well has struggled in certain departments due to lack of communication from my college and a severe lack of what I am supposed to do for my end Point assessment from them every time it goes for review a new issue rises instead of them all coming at once

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my conversation skills in general appearing a better talker over email than slow boring response engaging my reader in the information I am sending them, as well as my problem solving skills my newer role requires a lot of reconciling and not always are they correct causing me to solve problems.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
By the college a terrible structure with little to no organisation, my work place has tried countless times to help and support me due to the lack of support from the college as I feel constantly out of the loop and just waiting for something to happen from the college
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I am always offered any kind of support from my employer from study help from other employees who have undergone the apprenticeship to having one to one sessions with them to help evidence my end point assessment with suggestions and their prior knowledge of their own End point Assessment. yes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Little to none lack of communication along with missed meetings classes forgotten random teacher changes without prior knowledge disrupting my personal flow during my time there sometimes tests being organised and a student not being signed up for them and a series of odd times the teacher left the class for seemingly no reason.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The main thing this training provider has taught me is to chase constantly to get anything through to them allowing me in my new role to make sure journals are uploaded amounts are coming in on the right date to be sure we have the money to deal with any situation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a large amount of extra-curricular activities off the top of my head while I am sat here I can think of a judo/mixed martial arts class that happens early morning along with a choir who go and do shows dotted around along with carols at Christmas time.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Wiltshire council to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I very much enjoy the benefits of where I work with my flexible hours, working from home, discounts at certain places the council owns such as campuses for gyms or the wiltshire rewards programme can get cheap cinema tickets, along with zoo or aquarium discounts generating a lot of reasons to work for Wiltshire Council
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Wiltshire council?
The only advice I can give is patience with my change in role it took a month for me to move and I was supposed to move in a week it is a long process because it is a large organisation a lot of people are moving very often so all you need is patience.
