Day to day i design and price kitchens and bedrooms for customers and builders, as an apprentice all my work is checked and overseen by a manager before being sent.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have really enjoyed my experience at Howdens and my apprenticeship, everyone is really nice and have been super helpful with my development.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have improved my confidence and learnt how to use the programs at Howdens, for example the CAD system and K8 for pricing.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program is well structured and organised with modules outlining each area i have to learn and keeping track of everything on Onefile.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, any questions i have are answered and explained thoroughly. I am pushed to my best potential and supported the whole way.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support from my training provider, all my modules i have to complete are explained to me clearly, and one-to-one meetings are held to check in on me and my progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think my qualification and learning with my training provider helps me perform better in my role as each modules is tailored to suit my job at Howdens, each modules covers important training i will need to work successfully here.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, as a team we have been out after work hours to celebrate occasions. Additionally, Howdens do offer extra-curricular activities to us such as go-karting for special occasions and incentives.

Why?
My experience at Howdens has been amazing, everyone i work with is lovely and helpful. My colleagues and i can have a laugh as well as crack on with work, we help each other out if needed too. My manager is great, he helps me when i need anything and has been a great teacher.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Howdens?
Working at Howdens requires a lot of confidence and people skills, lots of talking to people both customers and builders. But its a great place to work overall.
