I like my job role however its not particularly aligned with my course content and the two are poorly integrated offering little opportunity for skills developed on the course to be applied to my job

For a data science course the programme is been very weak on the development of technical skills. the first two years focussed on soft skills and now the final year feels like a large jump and very rushed

Although the course is not well integrated with my day to day working my line manager has gone above and beyond to support me and provide opportunities and exposure to new projects
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Very variable depending on the module leader. overall the programme has felt very rushed with poor communication
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

while some of the soft skills like project management and public speaking and presenting have been developed these are not hugely relevant to my day to day role. the technical skills like coding and using python are not used in my work place so have not impacted my perfomance

ensure the course and role you are applying for are well aligned. Ask how they see the role developing after the apprenticeship finishes to ensure you are on a path to real professional and personal development.
