Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Resource planner - Plan and schedule staff activities 4 weeks in advance using the workforce management technology. Design and develop accurate resource forecasts, align available resource with forecasted requirements to improve service level performance and intraday driving of operational efficiencies. Chairing planning handover meetings with Senior stakeholders on a weekly basis where plans will be discussed and agreed before finalised. Support Real Time Management with intra-day highlights, hot spots and trends.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the program a lot. I enjoyed the face to face webinars which were held over 2 days in a classroom environment. We were able to bounce ideas off each other which i found most beneficial.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, i learnt a lot of new skills and developed existing skills. I found it most useful learning alongside other businesses in similar roles to learn new ways of working and i was able to bring them into my own workplace. I built confidence on forecasting skills. I learnt all about finances / costings of business and marketing which i had no previous background in.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very well organised, we were given enough notice when it came to organising webinars which i had to travel for. Tutors were always present and knowledgeable in the area we were covering.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I had a great support system at work. My Manager supported me by ensuring i had enough time each week / month to complete my assignments and in the end my dissertation.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We had adequate webinars to cover modules plus i was able to ask for any one to one time with the tutor if needed which i did use several times.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think very well, i am definitely more confident in every aspect of my role. I feel i can contribute more as i have better knowledge and understanding of how the business runs now.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes we are part of the forum, so many conferences are offered throughout the year.
