I ensure that data at RS is accurate, secure, and used responsibly. I develop policies, oversee data quality, and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR. Daily tasks include collaborating with stakeholders, resolving data issues, and managing governance tools. I also promote data literacy and monitor governance metrics. The role bridges business needs and technical data management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’ve really enjoyed the programme. It’s been engaging, insightful, and a great opportunity to grow professionally. The mix of practical experience and learning has kept it interesting and rewarding.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I’ve developed stronger stakeholder management and communication skills. I also improved my ability to analyse business processes and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, I gained hands-on experience with change management and data-driven decision-making.

The qualification has been very helpful in improving my performance at work. It’s given me a stronger understanding of key concepts and practical tools I can apply directly in my role. The training has boosted my confidence and supported my professional growth. I was promoted during the apprenticeship to manager role

I would recommend my employer because they genuinely invest in employee development. There are plenty of opportunities for learning, mentorship, and career progression. The support from leadership and access to training has helped me grow both professionally and personally.

My advice would be to show genuine interest in learning and development, as the company really values growth. Be proactive, ask questions, and take advantage of the support and training available.
