Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My job role consists of calculating and planning the overall capacity of the business whilst forecasting the mix of work and work volumes achievable for the business' field workforce. as well as this presenting the monthly performance of the business against the plans and forecasts that I create.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
i enjoy my programme, it combines 1 to 1 learning with my training provider whilst also giving me the ability to combine that with my job role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
the skills i have learnt consist of presenting, data analysis, communication, capacity planning, demand planning, forecasting, supply chain management, resource planning, inventory planning, inventory control, inventory management and problem solving.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
very well organised, my programme has been tailed to my needs giving it a cohesive structure. this aided me when i was doing something new in my job that i had not necessarily covered in my programme
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
as much as I need and when I need it from multiple departments not just from my line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
support is always on offer from my training provider, they have been very good in accommodating my programme
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
there are aspects of my programme that have really helped with my job role, whilst other aspects have helped me understand the day to day workings of business' whilst not directly related to my job role. Both have been very beneficial on my journey.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
yes, there is always something like this taking place at siemens, lots of social events, networking opportunities and apprentice focussed opportunities.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
Yes
Why?
siemens has facilitated my apprenticeship whilst working with DBC. which has given me experience that I otherwise would not have access too via other educational avenues such as university. the real world experience of planning and supply chains i have gained at siemens i am hoping will give me a advantage in my future career wherever that is.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
my advice to others would be to ask for support when needed whilst also being ambitious enough to attempt to overcome these challenges by yourself. as well as this I would recommend taking yourself outside of your comfort zone through activities such as speaking up in meetings or presenting, this will allow you to learn new skills.
