My apprenticeship role was Data Analyst, which involved maniuplating, transforming and analysing data to describe and explain current organisational trends with the aim of generating data-driven improvements of services.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoyed the programme. I learnt a lot and without it I probably wouldn't have progressed in my career as I have done. The projects were all workplace driven, which is great but sometimes there was a disconnect between apprenticeship and employer's understanding
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As Data Analyst I learnt so many new skills which have enabled and empowered me to move forward in my career, moving from Clinical Trials Administrator to Junior Data Wrangler. The skills I learned were Power BI, SQL, Python and R, all vital for data analysis
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was very well organised and structured in such a way that the learner starts with the basics and gets more complex over time. That being said, I feel the start of the course dragged on the basics for too long a period but then the pace picked up too much all in one go.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer was supportive and gave me the time to complete my courses. With my apprenticeship though, it was very niche and so my manager's at the time didn't understand the topic or coursework, so struggled to find me projects to complete, etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was very supportive at all times. That being said, I feel they could have given more guidance on report writing and the necessary content and word counts etc. I ended up writing far too much and spending a lot of unecessary time writing too-lengthy assignments
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This qualification has absolutely helped me perform better in my role. Firstly, it taught me all about data integrity and how to track and manage data and the importance of that. Secondly, without the training I would not have been able to secure my current job in Data Wrangling- so in that sense the qualification was pivotal.

Why?
I have already recommended QA to friends and colleagues, one of which is currently enrolled in the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship because of my recommendation.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to QA Limited?
Go for it! The apprenticeships are great and definitely worth the investing the 12-18 months of your time
