Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Woking as a Service Desk Manager, I ensure my team has the tools they need to respond to emerging issues for our custoemr base.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Although the pace is so fast as to present challenges with balancing workload, the lecturers are fantastic and the material we cover is excellent.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Many skills that enhance my capacity an manager, and help me understand the wider role I play in the organisation.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The one criticism I have is with the module scheduling and notifications. We would do better with having more time and a clearer consistent timetable to ensure the apprenticeship doesn't clash with our other duties.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer is fantastic at giving me the time. They provide me with the materials I need to contextualise what I learn.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The ACE team is fantastic at providing support with academic writing, a skill I have not needed to learn before.
The module leaders and my tutor are great at providing additional support.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel it well suits the role in which I find myself.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are indeed activities, though these are infrequent and need more time to plan. (Though as this is my responsibility to arrange these, it is hardly fair to criticise).

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend QA Limited to a friend?
Yes
Why?
QA have helped my further my career, first when I did my Level 3 in IT to get my foot in the industry, and now as a manager. I recommend QA as an excellent provider as apprenticeships, and advise those who are looking to get their careers further to look no further.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to QA Limited?
As an apprentice, be prepared to put in a lot of effort balancing work responsibilities and your studies. The more you put in, the more you'll get out of it.
