Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My current role includes auditing internal functions within Kier, looking for any potential risks. I also look for external risks for Kier. My last placement included day to day financial functions for Kier, from invoicing to treasury function roles.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Getting a rounded experience as I have already worked/ shadowed numerous teams. I have also enjoyed gaining more responsibility in my latest role.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to operate numerous different accounting software's, specifically Oracle and causeway for a multitude of different procedures. My investigative skills have also improved while working in audit.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Relatively well structure, I believe started off learning about finance shared service gave me a good background to finance within Kier, then I was very interested in Audit so I was happy to migrate over to that team. Although, it was last minute knowing which team I was moving to.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support, being allowed 1 day off a week for studying if necessary, as well as regular check ins with management to see how I am doing both in the workplace and with studying.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I also receive lots of support from Kaplan with regular check ins with my 'mentor' and also regular messages on onefile from my tutors.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe the skills I am learning to do will develop my knowledge of accounting and finance, and therefore I will be able to understand in more depth how all the accounting/ finance functions work within Kier without as much help from colleagues.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not currently as I am fully remote working apart from site visits.
