I feel lucky to have so many opportunities given to me at work and suitable training provided to improve my understanding and workload. Also the team I work with are really supportive and patient.

I have increased my understanding of accounting and scepticism as well as a range of softer skill sets such as communication and Inclusivity

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is very well organised and everyone is willing to help and provide support and guidance when needed. The studies are relentless so the structure is necessary to keep on track.

My employer is very supportive, especially the team around me. When I need extra time for studies there is always someone that can help out.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
There are plenty of resources and the lecturers and my mentor are always quick to respond to emails.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It 100% helps me with my role. Both through the learning of topics and new areas and also getting to hear from independent people about their careers and experiences.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There aren't as many social activities as I would like but there are plenty of work related activities to get involved in that have a small social element attached to them.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Tarmac to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are a myriad of opportunities available if you work hard and get to know people. The environment is friendly and supportive. The management are very personable and don't hide in offices.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Tarmac?
Be yourself, Tarmac is as much about the person as it is about the qualifications. You will be trained to do what is needed but you can't train a suitable personality. Be willing to take on random activities and say yes to things then figure out how afterwards.
