Monitor H&S performance. Carry out Site Safety Inspections and audits and ensure that the way we are operating is compliant to H&S legislation. Produce Toolbox talks. Accident and incident investigations and analysis. Communicate wellbeing campaigns
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme and learnt a variety of new skills. I have struggled at times with time management around H&S incidents at these had to take priority over my designated studying time
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt new skills regarding how you need to open your thinking to perform in a management role, learning how to deal with different types of people and how to manage a team around these new skills. It’s has also improved my communication skills

Very good and the communication with my tutor was excellent. She was always available for help and advice
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have received ok support from my employer, at times it was poor and I had to reach out to other colleagues who are not part of my daily contractual operational area
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had to complete my GCSE maths and the support I got with this was brilliant, I cannot thank my tutor enough for getting me through the course which I passed. She was awesome
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has improved my communication skills within the teams I work in. I do not have a team to manage so it’s difficult for me to put my new skills to practice

Kier is an excellent company to work for, it is full of brilliant people who are so hardworking. I have made some lifelong friends and the way they treat their employees is exceptional
