Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to role involves learning how to undertake the maintance on the Class 700 Desiro City this involves the heavy Mechanical maintance and software updates to the train and electrical and mechanical fault finding.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy, working on the railway and my apprenticeship and I look forward to almost every day.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt how to the software on the trains has worked plus, I have also learnt about in depth mechanics and Electrics at college

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At the Depot we always know who/what we are shadowing, however are college days have been a bit disorganized but they are improving.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Support is really good, we are always asked how we are getting on and given more time to complete coursework when needed.

Linking questions and practical tasks that help us to link the theory knowledge and the practical knowledge together. and our college tutor came and visited us at our depot so he could see for himself what our workplace was like.

There are charity events to take part in that are encouraged at our depot such as the London to Brighton bike ride.
