Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
In my role, I manage a variety of administrative tasks, including booking individuals onto courses, handling email correspondence with members of the public and solicitors, and managing incoming phone calls. I also take responsibility for outgoing post and provide flexible support by covering different stations and receptions when needed. My daily interactions involve close collaboration with my colleagues and line managers internally, as well as regular communication with external contacts such as solicitors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
As an apprentice I have enjoyed the programme and found the learning both valuable and interesting. One of the highlights was creating my own project, which allowed me to take initiative and further develop my skills. I've particularly enjoyed working as part of a supportive team and building professional relationships with both colleagues and external contacts. Gaining real world experience has helped me apply my learning in practical ways, and I've found it rewarding to see the positive impact of my work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
During my time in this role I have developed my communication skills and confidence. I am now comfortable making phone calls, handling enquiries, and leading meetings when required. My IT skills have also improved particularly in using Excel for spreadsheets, composing emails, and creating PowerPoint presentations. These experiences have strengthened my ability to work efficiently and adapt to different tasks and environments.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel that my apprenticeship programme is well-structured and organised. There is a clear balance between on-job training and off-the-job learning. I receive regular support and guidance from both my line manager and college tutor, and there is a clear schedule for attending college, as well as completing assignments and reviews. We get sent our college timetables in advance which allows me to plan accordingly. The structure has helped me stay on track with my progress and feel confident about reaching my goals.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have received a lot of support from my employer throughout my apprenticeship. They are always helpful and approachable, and I feel comfortable asking questions or seeking guidance when needed. I've been given plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, both through day-to-day tasks and additional responsibilities. Being assigned a mentor has also been really valuable, as it has given me someone to turn to for advice and ongoing support in developing my skills and confidence.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have received a good level of support from my training provider while working towards my qualification. My college tutor is very helpful and approachable, always making time to support me when I need guidance. She regularly arranges meetings both during college days and in the workplace, which helps ensure I stay on track with college work and understand what is expected of me. The regular check-ins give me the chance to ask questions, discuss my progress, and get extra help when needed. This support has made the learning side of my apprentice much more manageable and encouraging.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The qualification I am working towards through my training provider has helped me perform better in my role by giving me a deeper understanding of key workplace skills and practices. The college work has improved my organisation, time management, and communication, all of which I use every day and in my job. Learning about professional standards and reflecting on my own work has also helped me become more confident and aware of how I can improve.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at my workplace. We are kept up to date through the force's internal system called Viva Engage, which shares daily updates about events and opportunities. These include engagement sessions we can dial into, bake sales, and themed weeks like wellbeing week. The organisation also supports wider awareness events such as International Woman's day and Liverpool Pride, with initiatives like 'March with Pride'. There are always charity events happening too, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to take part and get involved.
