I manage planning data analysis to ensure efficient deliveries. I work closely with warehouse, transport, and 3PL's. Responsibilities include KPI reporting, continuous improvement, and supporting cost-saving projects to optimise performance across the transport network.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I’ve really enjoyed my course as it’s given me the opportunity to apply practical tools in my department. It’s been rewarding to see measurable improvements from my project, and I’ve developed both personally and professionally. I really appreciate the support I received from my tutor and colleagues.

I developed skills in problem-solving, data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, stakeholder engagement, and project management. I learned how to identify root causes, lead improvement initiatives, implement sustainable changes, and deliver measurable results, all while driving continuous improvement culture across the business.

The programme was really well structured, with clear timelines, accessible resources, and a logical progression of learning. Claudius Consulting checked in regularly to ensure I stayed on track, offering support and guidance throughout. Their consistent communication and well-organised delivery made it easy to balance my apprenticeship alongside my day job
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received strong support from my employer throughout the programme. My line manager gave me dedicated time to complete coursework and fully backed my improvement project. Acting as my sponsor, they helped secure buy-in from the wider team, which was crucial for the project’s success and embedding continuous improvement.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They checked in regularly to ensure I was on track, offered clear guidance, and provided excellent mock exam preparation and materials. Their structured approach and availability made a big difference in keeping me focused and confident during the assessment phase.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training has greatly improved my performance in my role by giving me structured problem-solving tools, data analysis techniques, and confidence in leading continuous improvement projects. The practical focus of the training meant I could apply what I learned straight away, driving real results and improving decision-making in my day-to-day work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, Howdens regularly host team and other events such as go carting, rounders competitions. I have also attended conference events with evening social events.
