Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Preparing corporate and personal tax returns, working alongside the audit and accounts team drafting tax computations and issuing to clients.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

A lot as each day can vary with plenty of different tasks to complete and there are always opportunities to learn with exposure to lots of different areas of tax. It is also a good environment to work in.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Communication skills - both internally and with external clients and stakeholders.
Accounts and tax knowledge - continuously learning more about the preparation of accounts, and tax rules and legislations through work and college lessons/exams.

Working towards my qualifications has allowed for a better understanding of the work I am completing on a day to day basis. Developing my knowledge of why and how things are done, I can then apply what I have learnt in the workplace.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Regular team socials throughout the year as well as annual whole firm parties at Christmas.
The firm attend plenty of networking events, with opportunities for all levels to participate in these.
