Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I support data science projects in E.ON's Net Zero Delivery department. Duties can range from cleaning data for productionising it, building models in ETL tools and building dashboards. I have started to learn Data Iku for Data Science projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Overall, I enjoy it. There are elements of NTU's module and coursework delivery that could be better.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have had the opportunity to learn new platforms like Matillion, Data Iku and Data Bricks. I have developed my Python and Power BI skills further.

There is a lot of overlap between some modules but also some considerable jumps in complexity between others.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My workplace mentors have been really supportive and allowed me more than 20% OTJ hours to help achieve great results on my coursework. My current team manager actively looks for projects that can fulfil the KSBs.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider mentore is incredibly supportive. Its the schedule of the course delivery that is sometimes a problem.
