To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
So far I'm finding it a rewarding and valuable experience. Crosby offers a great mix of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and gives me the chance to apply my knowledge in real-world settings, and the ability to enhance my knowledge in HR practices. All of the lead trainers are extremely approachable and knowledgeable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since starting the course I have definitely developed my verbal and written communications skills with regards to using the correct language format. My organisational skills and attention to detail have always been good due to the role I'm in, but I would say I'm more engage in problem solving and looking for solutions.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The training program is very well orgnaised and structured. There are clear leaning outcomes and objectives that I'm expected to achieve. There is a structured plan outlining the progression of training, including timelines. The content is details and the materials are of high qaulity. The lead trainers are skilled and knowledgeable. We have regular assessments which help with ensuring I'm on the right course.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My training line manager is very supportive. She checks in with me regularly. I was able to get a HR recruitment rotation for 3 months which was useful. I'm looking for another rotation within a HR dept at my employer but they aren't very easy to arrange.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
This is the first training course I've done in many years, and my lead trainer has made it such an enjoyable experience so far. I definitely would not be as confident as I am if it wasn't for her and her words of encouragement and faith in me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I think it will help me secure a role within HR when the time is right for me. I also have found if very useful in my current role after taking on a supporting role with junior talent, and I have learnt so much on my course that helps with this process.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
My employer offers many ad-hoc events I can get involved in such as sessions on meditation, yoga, indoor cricket, EA breakfast networking, coffee corners, pulse sessions etc.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend UBS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have worked at UBS for many years. They made it possible for me to work as part of a job share while my children were younger. I now work 4 days a week, 2 of which are in the office. They supported my wish to take part in training, and have allocated me a strong training line manager. They pay a competitive salary with lots of other benefits.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
Working for an Investment Bank is challenging with regards to long hours in an extremely fast past environment, but if you are willing to go above and beyond you can reap the benefits and take advantage of the great internal mobility offered by UBS and higher than average salaries / benefits.
