Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I deal with managing the quarry standards by carrying out geotechnical inspections and actions. I also collect weekly environmental inspections for the whole site along with the pre-start check inspections, and report any defects that are listed. Additionally I got to stay on top of DERV and AdBlue stocks.
All this is paired with university assignments/work and training when I am in the office.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the balance of having both practical work and theoretical work. This is because both of these complement each other in this programme as it is easier to understand and visualise what I am learning when I have got prime examples of it on my site as well as industry experts to ask anything at all times.

The main structure to follow which is given through university assignments, SHE4 and training is great but how well the overall structure works depends more on myself and how well I can manage my time, which I like.
