Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Planning and implementing meaningful activities that provide life enrichment to our elderly residents in both group sessions and on an individual 1-1 setting which provide person centred fulfilment for the mind, body and soul.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy learning and researching new ideas and sharing ideas with others. I enjoy the programme as it is extremely relevant to my day to day role and will enhance and develop my skills.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

New activity ideas and new ways of presenting, carrying out and evaluating these in a meaningful way. How to build on and encourage community engagement and how to encourage residents and the community to keep active.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very well organised and structured. Meetings and deadlines are clear and scheduled well in advance, but while also being flexible around our busy job role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is extremely supportive, listening and acting on feedback given and allowing additional activities such as work shadowing and research hours when needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Our training provider is very supportive and emails and questions are answered very promptly. Meetings and educational sessions are well organised and planned well ahead in advance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification will help me to widen my knowledge of activities available in the community and interact with the wider community better. It will also provide knowledge and experience of a wider variety of activities and reinforce person centred care.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
