In the marketing consumer insights team, my role involves supporting new innovations and exploring market opportunities. My main responsibilities are conducting market research, liaising with agencies, supporting new innovations, and identifying market opportunities. I analyse consumer behaviour, preferences, and trends through surveys, focus groups, and data analysis, providing insights for strategic decisions. I collaborate with marketing agencies, research firms, and partners to ensure project alignment with our goals, maintaining regular communication and quality review. Using market research insights, I offer data-driven recommendations to guide product development and marketing, ensuring our innovations meet consumer needs. By monitoring market dynamics and consumer trends, I identify areas for innovation, helping our team remain competitive and responsive to emerging demands.

I've developed my skills using spreadsheet tools, enhancing my ability to gather, interpret and present complex data. I've also begun exploring using python for data analysis.
Moreover, I've created comprehensive dashboards using Power BI, invaluable for visualising data and tracking key performance indicators. This has improved our team's ability to make informed decisions swiftly. Time management and project leadership are other areas where I've grown, enabling me to manage multiple projects efficiently and lead initiatives that drive innovation and market responsiveness.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The learning modules and outlines are well done. The role covers many aspects that help me apply my new skills daily. My only concern is that many modules provide an overall perspective without much detail, requiring independent research, which is challenging while working and studying simultaneously.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer assists with time management, role- and future- related questions, and project topics. For technical inquiries, I mainly consult my apprenticeship cohort or coach.
